There's some perks to starting a "1,000 to save WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN" group on Facebook:

Talked with some inside sources last night about the cancellation of the show. Bottom line, the show is more than likely not returning. There was just no more money for the second season.  Production for season 1 was completed back in 2007, and not much has happened after that, except for some minor pre-production work.

Some good news, though, is that the volume 6 dvd art is complete, and the cover art is done by Ajit "AJ" Jothikumar, the lead character designer for the show. So we can expect a release for that in the not too distant future (unlike some unfinished DVD released shows...*cough*X-Men Evolution*cough*).

One other thing we should all take note of is that Disney had nothing to do with the cancellation of this show (obviously since it hasn't even been in production for the last three years).

One source also reminded me that the X-Men are money makers for Marvel, so in time, there will be another X-Men animated show.

Though, it doesn't look like the show is going to return for its second season, I don't see why there can't be an animated DVD film (much like the Hulk Vs.) to continue the story.  I even have a title for them...ummm...how about, "X-Men:  The Age of Apocalypse."  Has a nice ring to it, right?

KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!
